The Scottish Highland Cows

AHCA Scottish Highland Cattle

Highlands are a heritage breed cow known for their shaggy fur and sweeping horns. They are a more docile cattle breed and thrive in a variety of climates due to their resiliance. Our highlands are raised on pasture with little to no added grains. Their beef is naturally lean and flavorful. Our goal is to preserve the traits that make the highlands so special from their mothering skills, longevity, and ability to thrive off pastures. This means good feet and legs, easy calving, and udder structure that will hold up for many years to come.

Mid-Lakes Tantor is serviced Ruby for Nov 2026 calving. He placed reserve Intermediate Bull in 2025 at NWSS
